Carson Valley Sertoma Club Supports Moxy Up with a Grant Donation
Minden, Nevada 7/22/24 – Carson Valley Sertoma is proud to announce it is the recipient of a 2023 Sertoma Club Grant, marking the club’s continued commitment to volunteer service and philanthropic support in the Douglas County, Nevada area.
Funds from the grant benefit Moxy Up in support of its Youth Mentoring Center, a place for teens to grow and improve their working, living, educational and social skills through positive mentoring and leadership practices. In 2023, Moxy Up implemented a new Neuro-Developmental Youth program providing psychological testing, skills groups and applied behavioral analysis through a partnership with Aspire Behavioral Services.
Carson Valley Sertoma is part of the international Sertoma family of local civic service clubs. A thriving non-profit service organization that has been in existence for over a century, Sertoma is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss through education and support.
Sertomans have a long history of strengthening communities through their volunteerism, stewardship, and leadership. This grant will help Carson Valley Sertoma to grow its SERvice TO MANkind mission in Douglas County.
